I Have a Dream
Mynovel.ca is always presented as a gift idea. Finding something original to give to someone who, let’s face it, already has everything is not an easy task. Personalized novels are the perfect solution.
Although Mrs. Jeannine Sigouin had a different approach. To her, a personalized novel is a gift you give to yourself.
To one day be published is a pretty popular dream... Those who have tried –successfully or not- know that it’s anything but easy. It can be a very long and painful process. Mynovel.ca makes aspiring authors’ dreams come true in a matter of days only. No more rewrites, no more rejection letters, no more agony. Pick a story, fill out the questionnaire, order and… voilà! A week later, you’re holding your very own novel. For most people, the story ends then and there. Mrs. Sigouin, however, dreamed big. Why settle and simply display the book on a bookshelf when the experience can become an adventure?
Written for her mother’s 80th birthday, Jeannine’s version of Chimère features friends and family members. Once the questionnaire is complete, she sends in her order: nine copies. One for her mom, one for each of the loved ones who inspired the characters. And one for her.
A few days later, the books arrive. Thrill. Rush of excitement. Heart pounding. Today’s D-day. She’s now a published author. Amazed, she marvels at the copies of her work. Discretion and secrecy are important, though, so not to spoil the surprise planned for a month later. It will be perfect, she’s sure of it. And to top it all off, why not play pretend a little?
With a couple of friends and copies of her first novel in her bag, our brand new author pushes the door of a major bookstore. On the agenda? A real book signing. Delighted, Mrs. Sigouin sits at a table. With a permanent smile on her face, she’s at the center of it all while her friends play along, bringing her, one by one, their copy so she can sign them.

That’s what we, at mynovel.ca, want to give our customers: astonishment, dazzle, pride, childish joy. The simple gift of dreaming.
Do as Mrs. Sigouin did. Go ahead, treat yourself. Play along.
